As clinicians, no matter our specialty, we spend our lives in the service of others. While many turn away from those who are suffering or in pain, we stay, we lean in. However, with all that we give, we must be highly conscious of the state of our own well-being.
We all have friends and colleagues that have left their practice due to compassion fatigue; burnt out physically, emotionally and spiritually. Through story-telling and science, we will explore a number of paths that can lead to an enhanced sense of mystery, peace, interconnectedness and compassionate awareness so that we may heal the healer within.
